Terms of Service

Effective Date: February 27, 2026

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between HOLDON (hereinafter "the Company") and users regarding the use of the mobile application service "HOLDON" (hereinafter "the Service").

Article 2 (Definition of Service)

HOLDON is an app that helps manage gambling urges. The Service includes the following: • Urge standby sessions (Hold Phase and Urge Session) • Breathing guides and alternative behavior suggestions • 56-day Care Program (daily check-ins, personalized content, AI coaching) • Anonymous community • Supporter-user connection feature • 1:1 chat (with connected supporter)

Article 3 (User Eligibility)

① The Service is available to individuals aged 14 or older. ② Users must provide accurate information upon registration and must not misuse another person's information.

Article 4 (Account)

① Users may register for the Service through a Google account, Apple account, or anonymous login. ② Users are responsible for managing their account information and may not transfer or share their account with third parties. ③ Users may delete their account at any time through the settings menu; upon deletion, all data will be permanently removed.

Article 5 (Use of Service)

① The Service is not a medical practice and does not replace professional gambling addiction treatment. ② The Service is a tool that stays by your side until the urge passes; it does not aim to make you quit or correct gambling behavior. ③ In emergencies or serious mental health crises, please contact professional counseling organizations (Korea Center on Gambling Problems: 1336, Suicide Prevention Hotline: 1393, Mental Health Crisis Hotline: 1577-0199).

Article 6 (AI Coaching Service)

① AI coaching within the Care Program is for informational purposes and is not medical or psychological counseling. ② AI responses are automatically generated, and their accuracy or appropriateness is not fully guaranteed. ③ The Company is not responsible for decisions made based on AI coaching content.

Article 7 (Community Usage Rules)

① The following activities are prohibited in the community: • Encouraging gambling or sharing gambling methods • Defaming, insulting, or discriminating against others • Exposing or collecting personal information • Posting advertisements, promotions, or spam • Inducing self-harm or suicide ② Violating posts may be deleted without prior notice, and repeated violations may result in restricted access.

Article 8 (Support Code and Connection)

① Supporters can connect with users through an invitation code. ② Supporters can only view the care progress status (such as check-in completion) of connected users and cannot access detailed content (emotions, chats, etc.). ③ Either party may disconnect at any time.

Article 9 (Intellectual Property Rights)

① Copyrights and intellectual property rights for content within the Service (text, design, code, etc.) belong to the Company. ② Copyrights for posts written by users in the community belong to the users, but a non-exclusive license is granted to the Company for service operation purposes.

Article 10 (Service Changes and Suspension)

① The Company may change or suspend the content of the Service and will provide prior notice for significant changes. ② The Company bears no additional responsibility for damages caused by changes or suspension of the free Service.

Article 11 (Disclaimer)

① The Company is not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure such as natural disasters or server failures. ② The Service does not guarantee the treatment or cure of gambling addiction. ③ The Company has no obligation to mediate disputes between users (community, chat, etc.).

Article 12 (Changes to Terms)

① The Company may amend these Terms to the extent not in violation of applicable laws. ② Amended Terms will be announced through in-app notifications; failure to raise an objection within 7 days of the announcement will be deemed as consent.

Article 13 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

The interpretation and disputes of these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and the competent court shall be the court with jurisdiction over the Company's location.
